wait the Bukharin conspiracy was anti-Stalin; maybe Stalin was being a bit paranoid himself but he famously purged Bukharin and his supporters presumably sending Dr P into exile to Britan.
Stalin was probably right to purge Trotsky and probably wrong to purge Bukharin IMHO
Bukharin was anti-Trotsky but also broke with Stalin over his policy of agricultural collectivization. He wanted to maintain the mixed economy of Lenin's NEP. They called Trotsky the "Left Opposition" and Bukharin the "Right Opposition" although I don't necessarily think those map on to our contemporary understanding of left/right.*
*I think I object more to the characterization of Trotsky as to the Left of Stalin than I do to the characterization of Bukharin on the Right... Bukharin had consistent ideas, and Trotsky was more of, "whatever Stalin says, I say the opposite."

Was Bukharin not anti-Trotsky? Sorry, this was based on minor research
Made a minor edit to the text for now as I wait for your response. Clearly my WWII history isn't perfect lol.
